UK big wave surf photographer Tony Plant is a Cornishman, surfer, Dad and artist. Living on the north Cornish coast, within camera range of Newquays Fistral beach and the legendary Cribbar and Zorbas reefs, he specializes in recording BIG surf from the water. He has supported NGO;s such as Surfers Against Sewage and the Marine Conservation Society. In addition to the obligatoty reefs and slabs, he is also the first photographer to swim and shoot on the Cribbar during BIG storms. A Chelsea fine art painting degree enables him to find that "special angle", whilst a regular use of jet skis in Ireland and Cornwall ensure all shots remain fresh and current. Alongside the painting exhibitions up and down the UK coast, numerous cover shots and features published world-wide, a solo photographic exhibition at Secret Spot St Ives, plus his own "headhighplus" film project, which continues to generate massive interest, things remain funky. |
